A Night to Remember: Inside the Club York Members' Gala
Some evenings are made to be photographed. This one was made to be lived.
Last Friday, The Clarence Room came alive for our Member's Gala — an evening of theatre, dining and live entertainment built around everything Club York does best. Members arrived to champagne and canapés, dressed to the nines and greeted by a room already glowing with anticipation.
A Room Set for the Occasion
The Clarence Room was dressed in its finest — round tables lined with soft florals, glassware catching the candlelight, and a menu waiting quietly beside each place setting. From the first pour to the final dessert plate, the room held that quiet hum only a truly good night makes.
Plated by PRIMI Italian
Dinner was curated and plated by our very own PRIMI Italian — freshly awarded a 2026 TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice — and every course delivered on that reputation. Seasonal, elegant, generous. The kind of menu that turned tables quiet mid-bite and had guests still talking about it days later. A three-hour premium drinks package flowed through the evening, pouring the sparkling, wine and cocktails members had come to expect.
The Entertainment
And then, the show. The night opened with an act of pure theatre — a bold, cascading burlesque performance in red beaded couture that had every phone in the room lifted at once. Then to the mic came Andrew Barnett, our MC and headline comedian — sharp, warm, and perfectly calibrated to a Club York audience. And finally the moment the whole room was waiting for: Elton Jack, our headline tribute act, taking us through the greatest songbook in modern music — piano, feathers, sequins, and every anthem you were hoping to hear. Cabaret, comedy and couture, layered together the way only a Club York night can do it.
A night made by the people in it
But truthfully, what made this Gala special wasn't the show — it was the room. Long-time members reunited across tables, new faces welcomed like family, and every seat filled with someone who calls Club York home. From front-of-house to the PRIMI Italian team behind every plate, to the tech team behind every light and cue — thank you for making it what it was.
