Club York are proud supporters of the local community:
We are all aware of the devastation the drought and fires have impacted on farmers and communities, particularly in rural areas of NSW and Qld.
During the drought our Ladies of the land often put themselves last. We would like to help to make them feel special this Christmas. We will be packing Pamper Boxes to send to those who need it most. Donate your own pamper pack or items to be packed by us into boxes. Please drop them at reception
Rural Aid was founded in 2015 to provide a holistic support program to rural Australia. The starting point for the charity was the success of the Buy a Bale campaign, which to date has received over $4.5 million in donations and distributed this through fodder, hampers and more to the farmers who have been affected by drought.
Club York participated in the Carlton United initiative raising fund’s for the drought-affected farmers.
The Station offers support to the homeless, providing meals, laundry and showering facilities, housing and mental health support plus a lot more. During Do Something Week which is facilitated by ClubsNSW – Rocky and the Directors along with Celebrity Chef Courtney Roulston cooked and served a hot breakfast which was provided by Club York, to around 80 homeless.
The Glebe Dirty Reds are Australia’s first-ever rugby league club with a history dating back to 1908.
Revived in 2017 after an 88-year hibernation, the Dirty Reds now compete in the NSWRL’s Ron Massey Cup, providing talented players from the inner city and inner-west with an elite level pathway to the NRL.
The club is focused on junior development – holding regular workshops for local boys and girls designed to encourage participation in sport and heathy lifestyles.
We provide support to Aged Care via the Club York Homes for the Aged Charity Trust. We provided much-needed funds to Hammond Care for Orthopaedic Chair’s which are designed specifically to support the disabled and elderly.
